"So say we the artists, 'Travelers, let us continue the serious labor of re-enchanting the planet'" - Newton & Helen Mayer Harrison

Peter supports efforts to create a safe, resilient, and thriving county through leading outreach around decentralized energy resources and exploring new funding pathways for community-led climate action. He also contributes to a range of other thematic areas, including food, circular economies, and policy review.

With backgrounds in arts, anthropology, and permaculture design, Peter specializes in creating public food forests and implementing shared visions between community groups, governments, and the private sector. He has previously worked in Europe and New Zealand, where he led post-quake regeneration projects in the Christchurch rebuild. He holds a MA in Arts & Ecology from Dartington Arts School in Devon, UK, a BA in Anthropology from Goucher College in Baltimore, and is an active IUCN member. Originally from Seattle, he now lives in Oceanside and enjoys hiking around the region, riding the Coaster to work, and watching the dolphins at sunset.
